The day started early — at four thirty in the morning — when I woke up to leave for Sofia at six o’clock. The capital greeted us with a chill, but I was “warmed” by the thought of the beginning of this adventure.

Honestly, even now, at the end of the first day as I’m writing this, I still don’t fully realize what lies ahead. I checked the route, noted which countries we’ll pass through and explore. The feeling is unfamiliar, yet irresistibly exciting in its adventurousness.

I met the group — incredibly inspiring young people, activists and leaders from Shumen and Silistra. Together we visited a café and talked about topics we all care about.

Realizing time was flying, we hurried to the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We were welcomed in the “Antarctica” Hall, where they shared insights about the diplomatic profession, as well as internship and career opportunities within the Ministry.

After taking some photos, I hurried once again — this time to the National STEM Center, which served as our base for the day, as I was hosting an online meeting for my organisation.

Once the first meeting ended, another followed, and afterwards I headed to a restaurant in the city center.

The evening was filled with lively conversations about student self-governance, ideas, causes, and future plans. Our stay there coincided with the celebration of seven birthdays! We finally returned to the Ministry of Education base, and that brings us to this very moment — when Danina, Belinda, and I are creating our materials.
