On the next day, our journey under #DiscoverEU and the #CultureEU project continued with fresh energy and new impressions. After an departure from Brussels, the group headed to Strasbourg – a true symbol of European unity and home to the European Parliament.

Upon arrival, the young participants immediately felt the unique atmosphere of the city. Their walk began in the picturesque district of “La Petite France,” where the timber-framed houses, narrow streets, and canals create a fairy-tale setting. Along the way, they discovered local markets, tried traditional French flavors, and immersed themselves in the spirit of Alsace.

One of the most memorable stops of the two days was Strasbourg’s magnificent “Notre Dame” Cathedral. Its impressive Gothic architecture and rich history left a strong mark on everyone, and the view of the city from the square in front of it offered true inspiration.

The afternoon brought a pleasant surprise — a short stroll across the border into neighboring Germany. This gave the group a wonderful opportunity to experience how naturally and freely movement happens within the European Union and how cultures blend seamlessly on both sides of the Rhine.

Our stay in Strasbourg ended with lots of smiles, new knowledge, and a feeling of connection. And continues — with even more curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm to discover Europe step by step in the future.
