One Day in Luxembourg during CultureEU

Our first visit was to the European Parliament in Luxembourg. It is one of the three main seats, along with Brussels and Strasbourg. Luxembourg hosts part of the administrative services and the Parliament’s General Secretariat. Although the main plenary sessions are held in Strasbourg, Luxembourg remains a key center for the organizational and logistical work of the institution.

Next, we visited St. Michael’s Church, one of the oldest churches in the country. It is located in the old town, close to the Grand Ducal Palace. Originally built in 987, it has been destroyed and rebuilt several times over the centuries. Its current appearance combines Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque elements. The church is known for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful stained glass, and historical significance as a spiritual center of Luxembourg.

Afterwards, we visited a small restaurant in the city center, where we enjoyed food that was unconventional for the region. The atmosphere was amazing and incredibly cozy. The food, although unusual, was delicious and served warm, and the staff were responsive and welcoming, allowing us to take as many photos as we wanted.
