Between May 20th and 27th, 2019, our volunteers participated in an incredible study visit to the enchanting city of Nottingham, England. This initiative, organized by City Arts under the Artemployment project, aimed to empower youth workers by enhancing their skills in utilizing arts for effective engagement with young people.
RAPO’s three passionate participants, had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Nottingham’s vibrant artistic community. The visit provided valuable insights as they interacted with numerous local artists, gaining firsthand knowledge of how these creative minds have established their businesses. Witnessing the profound respect accorded to the arts in Nottingham was truly inspiring.
The Artemployment project has undoubtedly broadened our perspectives and equipped us with innovative approaches to integrate art into our youth work. We look forward to implementing these newfound insights and fostering a similar appreciation for the arts within our community.
